one at a time one of a kind

Silks and laces carefully picked from around the world. Designed and hand-stitched with love, at our bridal atelier located in Boise.

Daci’s bridal collection gowns

The bridal collection gowns are all wedding dresses designed by Daci, displayed at the bridal boutique for brides to try on at the bridal appointments and listed to view or purchase at our online bridal boutique. They are also called “sample gowns”.
The wedding gown you fall in love with, will be recreated in your size and handmade locally by Daci and her team. You also have the option to customize the dress you fall in love with. Those design variations include neckline and silhouette variations, add or take off sleeves, lower back, offering a variety of lace options, touch of color, etc.

Daci’s custom gowns

The custom gown is a wedding dress that is designed and created for the bride that has a dress in mind and cannot find it anywhere else. Daci will create it for you from scratch.

BRIDAL COLLECTION PROCESS

The process of ordering your dream ‘Daci bridal collection’ gown in your size consists in 2 in person or virtual appointments . At your bridal fitting or Face-time we discuss any design, fabric or color customizations for your dream dress. The first appointment is when the dress fitting takes place. I make sure the dress fits you perfectly and we finalize any design variations. The second appointment is the dress pickup.

Bridal collection timelines

To re-create a wedding gown from my bridal collection in your size takes 4-6 months. The ideal time to start dress shopping is 8-10 months before your wedding.

Bridal collection prices

The Bridal Collection Gowns average between $3,500-$4,500. There is no additional cost to re-create a gown up to size 12. Design, fabrics and color customization prices vary.

CUSTOM GOWN PROCESs

The custom wedding gown process starts with the initial consultation. The bride and I meet in person or over FaceTime and discuss in details: design concept, fabrics, style, silhouettes, fittings, timelines and detailed measurements. I draw a sketch to use as a guideline. We need 3-4 fittings to finalize the gown. During each fitting, the bride is 100% involved in the dress process. I offer suggestions, but first I listen and my goal is to come as close to her design concept as we can.

Custom gown timelines

Ideally, I like to start on a custom dress 12 months before the wedding. I can only design 5-7 custom wedding dresses every year.

Custom gown prices

The custom gowns start around $4,500 and average between $5,000- $6,500.

This is the general outline of our wedding dress process. Keep in mind we are a small business and always flexible. As an example we were able to help brides with two months short engagements. Always ask, we are here to answer your questions.

Our bridal showroom is located in Boise.

We get to work with local brides and beyond. The wedding dress process for our out of state brides is slightly different than our dress process for local brides.

TEXTILE SOURCING

I have a few favorite companies where I source my textiles from. LA and New York is where I get most my silks.  I order the most beautiful laces from my favorite company in the UK that has their own mill, Germany and other European countries. My favorite way to source textiles are the European textile shops where I find one of a kind pieces.

HOW I GET MY INSPIRATION

I always have my eye open to anything that might be a new great idea. Photography inspires me; I love to see how fabric movement is captured in photos. I’m fascinated by it. I always have it in mind when I design a new dress. The wide variety of silk textures and white color tones also inspire me. I love to find the balance between simplicity and intricate detail.  When I design a gown I think about how beautiful the bride will feel in the dress, and that is my ultimate goal.

THE 12 STEPS FROM ‘IDEA’

TO ‘FINAL PRODUCT’

Each wedding dress starts with the idea, then inspiration – sketches - textile searching – textiles sourcing – pattern drafting – fabric cutting – assemble/sewing – hand stitching – photograph final product – new design release. As a side note, there are multiple dress fittings after pattern drafting.
