Whimsical Alaska Elopement Wedding Dress

When bride Nina fell in love with our whimsical wedding gowns, she traveled all the way from Alaska to Boise to find her perfect dress.

She came with her friends for her bridal appointment, and after trying on a few gowns, she absolutely fell in love with the Allison wedding dress.

Allison is an off-the-shoulder A-line wedding dress, created with a gorgeous beaded 3D floral lace that I found in Germany. It is the same lace I used for our Margaret wedding dress. The skirt is created with layers of tulle, silk organza and crepe. Panels of flowing silk chiffon layered over the tulle to give the gown movement and dimension. The floral beaded bodice is hand-sewn onto delicate mesh, with a flattering ruched tulle detail at the waist.

For Nina, we added several custom touches to make the gown feel completely her own. She chose a corset-style bodice with exposed boning and an earthy palette of sandy tones and dusty sage.

To complete her woodland-inspired elopement look, we added a whimsical bridal cape and she used silk chiffon ribbons in her hair.

The result was a romantic, ethereal wedding look that felt perfectly at home in the wild beauty of Alaska — earthy and magical.
