Claire Reimagined: A Dusty Blue and Gray Wedding Dress for the Faroe Islands Elopement

Claire wedding dress is one of our most loved designs, originally created in soft hues of blush. The gown features a structured corset bodice with a sweetheart neckline and a playful, creative skirt with raw edges that is incredibly light and flowy. Multiple silk organza layers and panels of silk chiffon move effortlessly with the wind, giving the bride the feeling of floating on a cloud.

We recently recreated the Claire dress for a custom bride who envisioned something entirely her own — a dusty blue and gray version for her elopement in the Faroe Islands. The final result was pure magic.

This variation feels like it stepped out of a modern fairytale — not the classic princess dress, but something artistic and ethereal. Imagine the romantic atmosphere of Cinderella movie— soft, cinematic, and dreamlike — yet interpreted through a bohemian, creative lens.

For this custom design, we also raised the neckline into an asymmetrical cut and added twisted silk straps with matching asymmetrical back detailing to mirror the front.

The dusty blues and soft grays turned out to be a dream — layered with subtle variations in tone. We naturally dyed the silks using wild blueberries, allowing each texture to absorb the pigment differently. The result is depth, movement, and dimension in every layer.
