Esther - A Lightweight Wedding Dress for a Queenstown Mountaintop Elopement

Heather reached out to us from California, completely in love with our Esther wedding gown. A photographer herself, she was now planning her own elopement. Both she and her fiancée love to travel, and together they decided that Queenstown would be the perfect setting for an epic adventure.

Heather wanted a lightweight dress that wouldn’t take up too much room in her suitcase. After their private ceremony in Queenstown, they planned to continue traveling and explore as much as possible. She loved Esther not only for its lightness, but for its uniqueness. Most importantly, she wanted to feel like herself — confident, flattering, and free.

The Esther wedding dress features a soft V-neckline, an open back, and a fitted waist flowing into an A-line silhouette. For Heather, we customized the back slightly, bringing it higher to better support the waist and allow for a seamless bust. We chose a delicate button closure for a finish. She also paired the Esther gown with the Kylie silk chiffon bridal cape, adding movement and an extra touch of ethereal drama.

Their elopement was filled with love — meaningful, magical, and surrounded by breathtaking views. They even took a helicopter ride to a stunning mountaintop overlooking Lake Wakatipu, where the vast landscape and shimmering waters created an unforgettable backdrop for their celebration.
